Camping in Denmark WA with Our Beagle Puppy

In early 2021, we went on a short midweek road trip to Denmark in Western Australia with our 6 month old Beagle puppy. This guide is to give you some ideas on places to visit with your dog.

Where to Explore Outside

Mokare Heritage Trail – A 3km circuit which follows both sides of the Denmark River between South Coast Highway Bridge and he rivermouth. The trail is an easy walk with a well marked pathway. You can start the trail from Denmark Town Centre at Berridge Park which has free parking and toilets.

Prawn Rock Dog Beach- As our drive out to Ocean Beach you can find this great doh beach. Big open beach space with a nice shallow area for dogs to paddle in and a well marked beach path. Parking is free.

Denmark Town Centre – You can walk around the town with your dog as long as they are leashed and most cafes/restaurants with outdoor ears will let you sit down with your dog

Places to Eat

Boston Brewery Denmark- Great outdoor beer garden with plenty of picnic tables with umbrellas for shade. Provide dog bowls with water for your pup to keep hydrated.

Denmark Bakery- Award winning bakery with fantastic pies and sausage rolls. Small outdoor area with tables and a water bowl for dogs.

Ravens Coffee – Great coffee shop, a few outdoor tables which you can dine at with your dog

Where to Stay

Big 4 Denmark Ocean Beach Holiday Park – Fantastic campground that is dog friendly. They have hot showers, camp kitchen and free Wi-Fi and located across from Prawn Rock Dog Beach. Also they have a lot of kangaroos visiting the park as well
