Today whilst shopping in Aldi, I was approached by an elderly gentleman asking about the brands they stock. After advising the guy about them selling different brands then the main stream supermarkets and upon him hearing my accent I had to be told his story about Australia. His American friend and his Australian wife had finished there jobs in Australia and were packing up their house. They were cleaning there patio furniture and his friend found a funnel web spider. He immediately called his wife and told her to call her mum to come and kill the spider, his wife said for him to man up and kill the spider. They ended up moving out of the house and leaving the furniture behind. I find it funny every time I speak to an American they always seem to have to tell me about there experiences with Australia either personal or a friend.
